MapShip and Web Map Kit are products of Byteloom (Pvt) Ltd, a company registered in Sri Lanka (Akkaraipattu, Eastern Province). “We” and “us” below mean Byteloom (Pvt) Ltd. Contact: [email protected].

1. Who sells to you

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase in addition to these terms.

2. What you get

The Web Map Kit plugin for QGIS (3.28 or newer), its web map template and the guide, under the GPL (see section 3).
Free updates to version 1.x of the plugin.
Email support at [email protected], answered within two business days.

3. Licence

Web Map Kit is free software, released under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later, the same licence as QGIS. The full licence text is included in the download. Under the GPL you may use, study, change and share the plugin.

What your purchase pays for is:

the ready-to-install plugin download, and every 1.x update;
the guided hosting set-up, the guide and the sample projects;
email support from the developer.

You can publish as many maps as you like, for yourself, your employer or your clients, including paid client work, and maps you publish stay yours and stay online in your own account.

The published web maps include open-source components (MapLibre GL JS and PMTiles, both BSD-licensed) whose licences stay with them. The names “MapShip” and “Web Map Kit” are ours; if you share a modified version, please give it a different name.

4. Your hosting and your data

Maps are hosted in your own Cloudflare account. You are responsible for your Cloudflare account, its settings and costs (the free tier covers most use), and for having the right to publish the data in your maps. We never receive copies of your data or maps. Your Cloudflare token and keys are stored only on your computer, in your QGIS profile.

5. Refunds

See our refund policy: full refund within 30 days, no questions asked.

6. No warranty

Web Map Kit is provided “as is”. We work hard to make it reliable, but we don't guarantee it is error-free or suits every dataset, and we are not liable for indirect losses, lost data or lost profits. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

7. Third-party services

Web Map Kit works with Cloudflare, and published maps may load background maps from OpenFreeMap. Those services have their own terms and may change; we'll do our best to keep the plugin working with them.

8. Changes and law

We may update these terms; the version on this page applies to new purchases. These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
